The module began with the introduction of the book 'THE ADVENTURES OF AMIR HAMZA' which narrates the legendary exploits of Amir Hamza, or Hamza ibn Abdul-Muttalib, an uncle of Muhammad. Most of the stories are extremely fanciful, "a continuous series of romantic interludes, threatening events, narrow escapes, and violent acts". The Hamzanama chronicles the fantastic adventures of Hamza as he and his band of heroes fight against the enemies of Islam.
After the introduction and reading a few chapters of the book we were divided into groups and assigned one chapter each from the book. We were supposed to read and therefore make sketches based on the chapter from our understandings.
Passage :
"OF ANOTHER STORM, AND HAMZA’S SHIPS BEING DRIVEN INTO THE WHIRLPOOL OF SIKANDER, AND OF THE DELIVERANCE OF THESE POOR SOULS FROM THE TEMPEST; AND OF THEIR ARRIVING IN THE LANDS OF CEYLON AND EXACTING TRIBUTE FROM THE KHUSRAU OF INDIA, LANDHOOR BIN SAADAN SHAH."
Drawing made from the understanding of the passage

After drawing out the sketches and understanding the chapter through them, we moved on to making an installation based on our sketches.
On the the most notable feature was the movement and the strength that the drawings depicts of being engulfed in a storm.
