What does Home mean to you?
The studio started by diving into the question of what we see our home as whether it be a full-fledged space, gadget, or association with certain people. Furthermore, on how the individual spaces influence daily activities and how one reacts to the surroundings. Getting an insight into how placing ourselves in a particular space changes the dynamics of that space itself.
A 'Home" is a space that is intimate to all. A home goes beyond its everyday function of being a shelter for its user and its activities; it connects with each of us on an emotional and personal level.
The concept of home is universal, however, we all define home differently. There might be some similarities, but home means something different to each of us. The idea of Home extends beyond the physical structure of four wall and a roof that we are confined to but a particular environment around us where you feel a sense of belonging and connection, materialistic objects filled with memories of events and experiences , the people we share our presence with, qmong many other things.
For me the idea of home is nestled in a very specific room of my house , the living room. A space where i spend most of my time either on the dining table gaming on my laptop the entire day or lazily watching seasons after seasons on the couch, the centre table where i cheatingly beats my friends in UNO on game nights, the small stool where i spend hours at end gazing the small fishes in the tank, or the cozy corner near the balcony where i take my naps only to be disturbed by the door bell.
