The module was to make students understand the forms of the insects and the logic behind it. We, the students, had to choose an insect which we either find fascinating or too disgusting. We were also told to inquire about the thought of why we chose that insect or pest. Was it because you were scared of it or was it because you were curious about its characteristics? Drawings were made to study the body structure, form, and movement of the pests followed by the crafting of conceptual models for a better understanding of the form and mechanisms of the movements.
The insect I chose was Hercules Beetle, for its strong exoskeleton that can lift upto 100 times its bodyweight. Hercules beetles are large and impressive insects known for the long horns of the male, which act as pincers which intrigued me the most to study its form.

Articulating the horns of a Hercules beetle as a series of sections ,understanding its form and structure through triangles and other geometries.
